Biographies

A biography is a detailed, non-fiction account of a person's life. It includes basic facts like education, work, relationships, and death, but also portrays a person's experience of these life events through the telling of their life story. It may include highlights and analyses of various aspects of the person's experiences and personality.

An autobiography is an account of a person's life written by that person.

Locating Books in the BC3 Library

The BC3 Library has both print and electronic books that are biographies of individuals, or collective biographies, about more than one person. They are all listed in the BC3 Library Catalog where you will find Dewey call numbers to locate books on the shelves (lower level of the library) and links to connect you to e-books. E-books can also be searched separately in our two e-book collections: e-Book Central by Proquest and e-Book Collection by EBSCO.

Browsing the Stacks

Biographies are located in the 92 section of the library. In our library, this is the equivalent of a 920 section.
