BC3 College-Wide Bookclub

All-Campus Book Club

We’re excited to share upcoming events taking place this semester at the Heaton Family Learning Commons in conjunction with the college’s focus and ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion including the inauguration of the first ever college-wide book club. Check back periodically throughout the semester as dates and times are finalized.

*The library has a limited number of copies of the three books. The titles are also available in paperback and Kindle formats on Amazon*

February All-Campus Read: Power in the Tongue by Caitlyn Hunter

The college has selected Power in the Tongue in honor of Black History Month for February's all-campus read.

A virtual book talk with the author and native Pittsburgher Caitlyn Hunter will take place on Tuesday, March 21 from 12:45-2PM.

March All-Campus Read: Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur

To celebrate Women's History Month, the college has selected the a book of poems, Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur as March's all-campus read. 

Lindsay Lanigan, Assistant Professor of English at BC3 will be leading the book discussion on Tuesday, April 18 from 12:45-2PM in HFLC 232 OR virtually.

April All-Campus Read- The Eaves of Heaven: A Life in Three Wars

For Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the college has selected The Eaves of Heaven: A Life in Three Wars by Andrew X. Pham as April's all-campus read. 

BC3 Dean of Liberal Arts Stephen Joseph will be leading a book discussion on Thursday, April 13 from 12:45-2PM in HFLC 232 or virtually.
