Refugee Awareness Guest Speaker
Please join us on Tuesday, November 1 at 12:45PM to hear Mr. Khara Timsina, Executive Director of the Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh, give a talk on the topic of refugee awareness. He’ll speak to the plight of all refugees, but then also share his own personal story as one—he lived in a refugee camp in Nepal for almost two decades before coming to the United States. He’ll also share why Pittsburgh has become home to one of the largest Nepali Bhutanese refugee communities in the country.
