American CinemaOver 150 Hollywood insiders document American culture through film.

This video instructional series on film history from Annenberg Learner Videos is for college and high school classrooms and adult learners. Using clips from more than 300 of the greatest movies ever made, this series explores film history and American culture through the eyes of over 150 Hollywood insiders, including Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg, and Michael Eisner through 10 one-hour and 3 half-hour video programs.

Locating Films

DVDs are located in two areas of the library.

Popular films are located on the upper level, near the top of the main staircase.

Educational videotapes and DVDs are located on the lower level, near the first row of books.

Print and Electronic Books in our Library

Locating Books

The BC3 Library has both print and electronic books for many topics related to film. They are all listed in the BC3 Library Catalog where you will find Dewey call numbers to locate books on the shelves (lower level of the library) and links to connect you to e-books. E-books can also be searched separately in our two e-book collections: e-Book Central by Proquest and e-Book Collection by EBSCO.

Browsing the Stacks

Materials related to the arts can be found in the 700s section of the library. More specifically, photography, computer art, cinematography and videography are found in the 770s area.
